About this postcard

The picture shows three white cottages with red roofs and half-timbered gables set on a landscaped hillside of flowering shrubs, with a wooded mountain rising behind them; the card names the view as coming from Albemarle Park, Asheville, North Carolina. Albemarle Park was a planned residential park laid out in north Asheville at the turn of the twentieth century, and "The Manor Bulletin" was the community's own publication, which this card appears to have been issued to promote or accompany. The white border and tinted halftone rendering are typical of Southern trade cards of the 1910s.
