A stylized spray of cotton shows dark green lobed leaves, creamy white blossoms with yellow-orange centers, and fluffy white bolls emerging from reddish-brown dried bracts against a pale peach and lavender ground. The image treats the cotton plant as a decorative floral subject rather than a field scene. Cotton was the South's dominant cash crop, and its blossom and boll were familiar emblems of the region.
Linen-textured stock with visible crosshatch grain; white border; caption printed top left and card number 'S-536' top right.
No postmark. Linen-era Curteich "C.T. Art-Colortone" back (6A-H1923) with white border; pencil "25¢" price noted at top; light edge wear and slight toning.
