About this postcard

A curving dirt road runs past a flower-lined fence toward rolling green pasture where cattle graze, with a large shade tree at right and a sunset-tinted sky. The card is a generic "Greetings from" view issued for Covington, Indiana, seat of Fountain County in western Indiana near the Wabash River. Curt Teich & Co. of Chicago produced such linen-texture greeting views in large numbers from the 1930s into the 1950s.
