About this postcard

A halftone photograph shows a young man in a dark suit and straw boater seated on the grass while a woman in a dark jacket, white skirt and wide hat stands behind him holding a long walking stick, the pair posed in a leafy garden or park. Beneath the picture is a printed musical staff with the opening line of a song, "It was the hour of twilight, And he sat alone and dreamed:" — the sort of illustrated song-lyric card popular in the early 20th century, when sheet-music hits were reproduced on postcards for mailing and collecting.
