About this postcard

A halftone view of the La Crosse County court house in Wisconsin: a large three-story masonry building with rows of arched and rectangular windows, a mansard-roofed central tower topped by a domed cupola with clock faces, and a flagpole flying the American flag at the right. Bare trees line the lawn and sidewalk in the foreground. The building shown is the county's Victorian-era court house, the seat of La Crosse County government on the city's North Side, photographed in the early 1900s.
