About this postcard
A steep forested slope rises on the left, with a grassy clearing and a grove of deciduous trees at its foot; a layered, snow-streaked mountain face fills the distance under a clear sky. A canvas-covered camp wagon stands at the right, the kind of wagon used by sheepherders and campers in the high country. The printed caption calls Utah "a vacationer's paradise" and points out that this canyon is only a few minutes' drive from the streets of Salt Lake City. The short climb from the city grid into the canyons of the Wasatch Range made the mountain backdrop an easy selling point for tourists, and the view was issued by a Salt Lake City publisher catering to them.
