The view looks down Crescent Street in Waltham, Massachusetts, after the big snowstorm of February 1920. A high plowed bank fills the left foreground, and the roadway beyond is rutted and slushy. Bare winter trees line both sides, with wood-frame houses on the right and larger brick buildings farther down the street. Waltham was a manufacturing city in the 1920s, long associated with the Waltham Watch Company, and its neighborhoods mixed frame houses with larger brick buildings.
White border; sepia-toned real photo print. Handwritten caption in white ink along the lower right of the image: "Crescent St Fortin 154" (not printed). Light edge and corner wear.
Postmark: none visible. Divided-back card, no stamp present. Handwritten note runs sideways along the left edge; address block written in the address half. Sepia real-photo print with white border.
