A dense crowd of pedestrians fills a narrow street between tall buildings: at left a light-colored block with a row of tall arched windows rises behind leafy trees, while at right a four-story facade shows regular tiers of rectangular windows and dark storefront openings at street level. The view is printed in a coarse halftone screen with a warm buff tone, and the picture sits at an angle in the scan. The card carries no printed caption, publisher line, or imprint, so the location cannot be identified from the front.

POST CARD PUT ONE-CENT STAMP HERE THIS SPACE FOR CORRESPONDENCE FOR ADDRESS ONLY Milk Street, Boston.—Milk Street, Boston, is about one of the oldest streets in the United States. Many old colonial buildings are still standing, surrounded by the tall sky-scrapers, and traffic rolls by oblivious to the dignity and age of that old historic spot. There is a museum situated on the left-hand side, in the old town hall, where in the early days the executive of the city held forth.
