A long concrete arch bridge with five visible spans carries a roadway across a wooded ravine on the edge of Lynchburg. Houses and church spires rise on the hills beyond, and a large Coca-Cola billboard stands at the left end of the bridge. Brick industrial or utility buildings sit in the lower right foreground, with a dirt road winding beneath the arches. The structure is the D. Street Bridge, one of the city's early concrete crossings over the Blackwater Creek ravine.
