The card shows the Delaware State House in Dover: a red-brick Georgian building with white-trimmed windows, a pedimented entrance, and a tall white cupola with a clock and columned lantern, framed by leafy trees. Built between 1787 and 1792, it is among the oldest state capitols in continuous use in the United States and was restored to its early appearance in the 1970s. Dover has been Delaware's capital since 1777.
