A printed official form, not a picture: a blank admission notice from the New York Department of Education, by which a school principal confirms that a pupil presenting a transfer card has been admitted to a given grade. The pre-printed '190' date line places the form in the first decade of the twentieth century, when New York City's public school system was consolidating into borough-wide districts and transfer cards tracked pupils moving between schools. Every fill-in field remains blank.
Printed form card with no illustration; all entry lines blank; worn edges, corner crease, small stains and a tear at the lower edge.
No postmark; unused government-issued postal card. Undivided back ("THE SPACE BELOW IS FOR THE ADDRESS ONLY"), 1ยข McKinley indicium (1843-1901) โ UX18 pencil code top left. Light wear, corner creases, small stain lower left.
