About this postcard
Corner view of the eight-story brick Dollar Savings Bank in downtown Youngstown, Ohio, with tall arched openings at street level, regular rows of rectangular windows above, and the bank's name lettered across the second-floor windows. A small sign for Ames' Lunch appears at the left edge. By 1910, Youngstown, in the Mahoning Valley of northeastern Ohio, was one of the country's leading steel centers, and its downtown held substantial commercial blocks of this type. The sender, Maudye, writes that she is at Mabel's for the winter and asks her niece to come for a visit.
