An elevated view down the Savannah River past the city's waterfront, with red-brick commercial blocks and wharf buildings lining the riverbank and a sign reading "SEABOARD AIR LINE RAILWAY" on the nearest block; sailing vessels and river craft lie at the docks beyond. The color print was issued by the Detroit Photographic Co. in 1901.
White border; color-printed (photochrom-style) view; stains and an ink spot at lower left; handwritten inscription on the front at right.
Postmark: SAVANNAH GA NOV 9 6-AM 1904. Undivided back with red "POST CARD" heading and "THIS SIDE FOR THE ADDRESS"; 1¢ Series of 1904 green stamp; light edge wear and a small stain at lower left of the front.
