About this postcard
A gravel drive curves through Lincoln Park beneath a canopy of mature trees, with two small figures walking in the distance and benches set out on the grass. The long glass-roofed conservatory rises behind the trees at right, fronted by lawn and flower beds. Lincoln Park's conservatory was a product of the 1890s, a glasshouse of palms and tropical plants that drew Chicagoans north along the lakefront for a warm walk in any season. On the back, Rilla writes to Sara Cinnamon in Rutland, Illinois, about a letter received and someone she has not yet managed to find, closing "Lovingly."
