A shaded roadway curves through dense summer foliage in Ellis Park, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a large weeping tree and a small rustic sign at the right of the drive. Ellis Park was laid out along the Cedar River as one of the city's early public pleasure grounds, and cards like this one promoted its wooded drives as a cool retreat. The view is presented as a scenic lane rather than a landmark, typical of park drive postcards of the 1930s.
