About this postcard

A view along East Randolph Street in Enid, Oklahoma, with a row of two- and three-story brick commercial blocks on the left, a tall white office building at the far end, and a landscaped park triangle on the right; dozens of 1920s automobiles line the curbs and cross the wide intersection. Enid grew rapidly after the 1893 Cherokee Strip land run and became a regional trade and oil center in northwestern Oklahoma, and Randolph Street was its principal commercial thoroughfare. Storefront signs such as a cafe and a drug store are visible along the block.
