About this postcard
An Easter greeting design of white lilies surrounding a cross-shaped panel printed with a verse. The lily is a traditional Easter symbol of purity and resurrection, and the raised floral work gives the blossoms a dimensional look. The panel's verse sends a very joy and wishes the recipient's path be strewn with flowers. Mary and Aloysius Gross sent the card with a simple wish for a happy Easter. Easter postcards were a common holiday exchange in the early 1900s, when sending a printed greeting by mail was an ordinary way to keep in touch.
