About this postcard

A long, multi-story resort hotel with a tall central clock-like tower rises behind lawns, young shade trees, and a curving walk or drive. The Eastman Hotel was one of the grand hotels built in the 1890s to lodge the many visitors who came to Hot Springs to take the thermal waters of the federal reservation, today Hot Springs National Park. Its scale reflects the town's heyday as a fashionable health resort in the early 20th century.
