Night view of the Electric Fountain in Denver's City Park, its jets lit in red, yellow and green against a dark sky, with a low building of lit windows at the right. The fountain was an early twentieth-century novelty whose water was colored by electric lights, and it became a popular Denver landmark and postcard subject. City Park itself, laid out in the 1880s, remains one of the city's principal public parks.
