About this postcard
A night view of the illuminated "electric fountain" in Reservoir Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana, its jets lit in bands of red, yellow, green and blue and mirrored in the still basin below. A low red brick building with a lit colonnade stands at the left, with trees, a hillside and a full moon behind. Reservoir Park was laid out around the city's waterworks reservoir in the late nineteenth century and its colored-light fountain was a popular local attraction and postcard subject in the early twentieth century.
