Two open blue cornflowers (Centaurea cyanus) with red centers and two buds rise on gilded green stems against a plain cream ground, the whole design formed in deep die-pressed relief rather than flat printing. Floral novelties of this kind were popular in the undivided-back era, when heavily embossed 'air-brush' and relief cards were sold as small decorative gifts and greetings. No publisher or caption is printed on the picture side.
