About this postcard

A wide paved avenue enters Battlefields Park between stone pillars topped with globe lights, with a monument visible at the far end and trees lining both sides under a clear sky. The park, known in French as Parc des Champs de Bataille, preserves the Plains of Abraham, the site of the 1759 battle between French and British forces. Created in the early 20th century, it remains Quebec City's large central green space and a national historic site.
