About this postcard

The view shows the arched entrance gate to El Mirasol, the Palm Beach winter estate of financier Edward T. Stotesbury. Palm trees frame the drive, and a vehicle is visible near the gate. The Mediterranean-style mansion was a prominent Gilded Age winter residence in Palm Beach. A January 1926 message sent from West Palm Beach to New Jersey remarks on the warm Florida weather while the recipients are in the cold.
