About this postcard

View over the pink and orange spires and pinnacles of the Fairyland formation in Bryce Canyon National Park, with dark green conifers filling the amphitheater and the plateau rim rising at right. The caption names the spot "Fairryland" (a printed misspelling of Fairyland), one of the canyon's best-known viewpoints, where erosion of the Claron Formation has carved the hoodoo walls that make Bryce famous. The park, set aside as a national monument in 1923 and redesignated a national park in 1928, lies on the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau in southern Utah.
