About this postcard

The view shows a tall waterfall cascading over rugged rock ledges, surrounded by dense forest in Franconia Notch. The Flume is a narrow gorge in the White Mountains that had become a well-known scenic stop for mountain travelers by the early 20th century. The message places the sender at Twin Mountain for a few days, a village north of the notch that served as a base for touring the region.
