Falls & Moody Street, Waltham, Mass., 1908

About this postcard

The view looks across the falls on the Charles River toward Moody Street in Waltham. White water pours over the ledge in the foreground, with a bridge and a row of commercial blocks behind it, including a four-story building and a tower topped by a green dome, all set against a sunset sky. A note on the card calls this "the largest amount of water to be seen at one time in Waltham," a fitting remark for a manufacturing city whose mills drew power from the river.
