About this postcard

Several figures sit and recline on broad pink and gray granite ledges above the water at Christmas Cove, Maine. The sea is calm, and the sky is flushed pink and orange at sunset. Christmas Cove, a small village on Maine's midcoast, was a summer colony in the early 1900s. The granite shore and quiet water were part of the appeal that drew seasonal visitors to the region.
