A dense curtain of orange-red flame vine covers a trellis and climbs a tall tree in a Florida garden. Moss-draped oaks rise behind it, and purple and pink flowering shrubs fill the lower bed. Pyrostegia venusta, native to South America, is grown throughout Florida for its winter and early-spring bloom. The card's caption calls it "the most beautiful ornamental vine in Florida" and notes that it trails over walls, tree trunks, fences, and houses, clinging closely until it covers the surface in flame-colored flowers.
