About this postcard
A decorative greeting design: large pansies and roses in pink, purple, yellow and white frame a gold-outlined rococo medallion, inside which a woman in a red cloak and white apron crosses a stream on stepping stones toward a cottage and a distant church spire. The card is a typical turn-of-the-century lithographed "Best Wishes" floral greeting, a genre that flooded the postcard market during the golden age of postcards (roughly 1900–1915), when flowers and pastoral vignettes carried the sentiment in place of a long message.
