A fantasy Valentine showing a ship built of blue forget-me-nots, its flower-lined sails bearing a red heart, with white doves carrying hearts and the Statue of Liberty in the background. The printed verse calls the ship “so deeply laden / With flowers and my devotion” and sends it across the ocean to “the fairest maiden.” Early twentieth-century valentines often combined floral symbolism, romantic motifs, and patriotic New York Harbor imagery in this way.
