About this postcard
A large, flat-roofed exhibition hall with a stepped, vertically ribbed facade stands in yellow light and dark shadow, visitors strolling across the plaza before it. The hall is the Ford Building Exhibit at the Chicago World's Fair. The Ford Building anchored the Ford Motor Company's display at A Century of Progress, the 1933-34 exposition on Chicago's lakefront. Its moderne design housed exhibits on Ford's manufacturing and transportation history. The fair marked Chicago's centennial and celebrated a century of scientific and industrial progress since the city's founding in 1833.
