About this postcard
A high panoramic view of Niagara Falls, with the American Falls at the left and the broad curtain of Horseshoe Falls at the right, the Niagara River filling the foreground and a small boat visible in the churning water below. A red-roofed pavilion and shoreline paths occupy the lower left, and a white building stands on the far bank at right. Niagara Falls has drawn sightseers since the early 19th century, and the small vessels in the basin recall the Maid of the Mist excursion boats that have carried tourists to the foot of the falls since 1846.
