About this postcard

A bronze equestrian statue of Andrew Jackson, hat raised and horse rearing, stands on a tall stone pedestal lettered "JACKSON." in a grassy park with trees, frame buildings and a church dome behind. The monument, cast by Clark Mills and dedicated in 1880, stands on the grounds of the Tennessee State Capitol in Nashville and is one of Mills's three celebrated Jackson equestrian statues. The view is a typical tinted lithographic postcard of the early 20th century.
