About this postcard

A massive fin of red and white sandstone, identified in the caption as South Gateway Rock, rises about 300 feet above low green shrubs and scattered rocks, with a blue sky and scattered clouds behind it. The Gateway Rocks mark the entrance to Garden of the Gods, the free municipal park on the edge of Colorado Springs known for its tilted red sandstone formations. The caption places the rock near the parking area for the Hidden Inn, a park concession.
