A black-and-white view along Glasgow Bridge over the River Clyde, crowded with double-deck horse trams, drays, wagons and pedestrians, with tall commercial buildings and a church spire beyond. Signs for "Paisley's" dining and tea establishment and "OXO" appear on the buildings and tram sides. Glasgow Bridge, also known as Jamaica Street Bridge, was rebuilt in stone in the 1890s and carried the city's tram lines across the Clyde, linking the city centre with the south side.
