About this postcard

A large golden shower tree (Cassia fistula) in full yellow bloom dominates the scene, with a purple-flowering tree at right, a low stone wall and lawn below, and a blue sky. The caption notes that the species is native to the East Indies but thrives in South Florida. It blooms in June with royal poinciana and jacaranda; planted together, the three create a blend of scarlet, yellow, and blue.
