About this postcard
Jenny Lake lies still in the foreground, its near shore crowded with dark evergreens, while the Grand Teton and the Saddle rise beyond in snow-streaked rock. The sky holds the pink and blue of evening. Jenny Lake, at the foot of the Teton Range, was a standard stop on motor tours of the national parks, and the Teton view was among the most photographed prospects in the West. The sender wrote from Old Faithful in Yellowstone, where the card was postmarked, remarking that she "never realized there were so many geysers in the park," a sign that the two parks were commonly paired on one western itinerary. Sanborn Souvenir Co. of Denver issued the view on linen stock.
