An oval portrait of a young woman with dark curly hair, a pink rose at her shoulder, and a pearl necklace fills the left side of the card. Gold and red framing and a blue ribbon above set off the portrait, while a printed verse to the right wishes the recipient health, happiness, and many friends. The sender writes to Bill about being kept busy at school, getting on nicely, and looking forward to free time again. The sentimental portrait and verse are typical of early 20th-century greeting cards.
