About this postcard

A large-letter "Greetings from HOUSTON TEXAS" postcard, with each letter framing a different local view: the Sam Houston equestrian monument, downtown buildings, a park, the San Jacinto Monument, the ship channel, and agricultural or industrial scenes. Large-letter cards of this type were a popular mid-20th-century format, and this example was printed by Curt Teich & Co. The star-topped obelisk in the T is the San Jacinto Monument, completed in 1939.
