Greetings from Odon, Indiana, winding woodland path, circa 1940

About this postcard

A generic greeting view: a pale, curving road or path winds between banks of flowering shrubs and tall trees in autumn foliage, with a small patch of blue sky and distant hills at the center. The caption names Odon, a small town in Daviess County in southwestern Indiana, but the scene is a stock publisher's landscape rather than a specific local landmark. Cards of this style were sold as souvenir greetings in the mid-twentieth century.
