About this postcard

A large-letter "Greetings from OHIO" card in which each block letter frames a different Ohio scene: a concrete arch bridge, a downtown skyline with a tall tower, a monumental office building, and a stadium with a ball field. Below, the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus is shown with its Greek Revival portico and central cupola, captioned "State Capital in Columbus," beside a scarlet carnation, Ohio's state flower since 1904. The Statehouse, begun in 1839 and completed in 1861, remains the seat of Ohio's government in downtown Columbus.
