About this postcard
A large-letter greetings card reading "GREETINGS from OLD WYOMING," with a black silhouette of a cowboy waving his hat while riding a bucking bronco against a sunset sky that shades from pale blue through pink and orange to yellow. The small aside "Yippee! Let 'er Buck" plays on the rodeo slang of the American West. Wyoming is closely associated with rodeo culture, most famously the Cheyenne Frontier Days celebration held since 1897, and Curt Teich of Chicago was a leading producer of such linen-textured greetings cards in the 1930s and 1940s.
