About this postcard
A large green "GREETINGS from" arcs over a black silhouette of a cowboy riding a bucking bronco, hat raised in his right hand, against a graded sky that fades from pale blue through pink to orange. The gag line "Yippee! Let 'er Buck" sits at the right, and "OLD WYOMING" is printed in red across a dark band at the bottom. Curt Teich & Co. of Chicago issued this as a state greeting card in their linen-finish line, a style popular from the 1930s into the 1950s that used rodeo and dude-ranch imagery to promote Western tourism.
