About this postcard
A large-letter greeting card in which the words "SIOUX CITY" are filled with small views of the city: a steel truss bridge over the Missouri River, an obelisk monument, and several commercial and civic buildings. Two military aircraft — a four-engine bomber and a twin-engine plane — flank the lettering, and a winged-propeller roundel sits in the upper right corner. The aviation imagery points to the World War II era, when Sioux City hosted an Army Air Base; the card is a Curt Teich "C.T. Art-Colortone" production of that period.
