About this postcard

A halftone view of the Ohio State University Gymnasium and Armory, a crenellated, castle-like brick building with a tall central tower, arched entrance and long range of windows, standing behind a low wall and lawn. The university's early gymnasium-armory buildings housed physical training and military drill for the cadet corps; this fortress-like structure was a familiar landmark on the Columbus campus in the early 20th century.
