About this postcard

The view looks across the harbor at Fort William, Ontario, where large grain elevators stand along the waterfront. A steamship and smaller vessels are docked below the elevators, and railroad tracks and industrial buildings line the shore. Fort William was a Lake Superior grain port, with elevators storing western grain before it was loaded onto lake freighters. The city later merged with Port Arthur to form Thunder Bay.
