About this postcard

A circular white marble colonnade with a low domed roof stands on a broad lawn among scattered shade trees, shown at sunset with pink and blue clouds behind it. The card names it the Harding Memorial in Marion, Ohio — the tomb of President Warren G. Harding, who died in office in 1923, and his wife Florence Kling Harding. Designed by architect Henry Hornbostel of Georgia marble, the memorial was dedicated in 1927 and remains a landmark of Harding's hometown.
