About this postcard

A white clapboard farmhouse with blue-gray shutters and two brick chimneys stands behind a white picket fence, with visitors in period dress pausing at the gate. The caption identifies it as the Henry Ford Birthplace in Greenfield Village, Dearborn, Michigan. The house in which Ford was born in 1863 was moved from its original Springwells Township site and restored as part of the open-air museum Ford founded in 1929, where costumed interpreters recreated nineteenth-century rural life.
