A cascade of white water tumbling over large reddish granite boulders, framed by evergreen trees and a pale pink-and-blue sky, with a fallen log in the foreground. The card names the spot as Horse Shoe Falls along the Fall River Road in Estes Park, within Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. The Fall River Road, completed in 1920 as the park's first automobile road to the Continental Divide, climbed past just such cascades and was later superseded by the Trail Ridge Road.
White border; visible halftone dot screen; plate number 81118 printed at lower right; small spot near upper left corner.
No postmark. Divided-back C.T. American Art Colored (Curt Teich, Chicago) stock with white border; pencil "1920s" dealer notation at top left; light soiling, no message or address written.
