The Hyannis Yacht Club stands on the shore of Hyannis harbor, a long two-story clubhouse with a broad veranda and a gabled upper hall, flanked by white shingled houses and a church spire among trees. A sailboat with sails furled rides at anchor in the foreground water, with a small motor launch nearby and a pier at the right. Hyannis, a village of Barnstable on Cape Cod, was already a well-established summer sailing and resort center when this view was copyrighted in 1905.
